1966, the heat is on the streets. Two women, one young and white and her friend, black and elderly, fight the segregation imposed by the Sheriff  on the small town of Alligator,  Louisiana. But none of them can imagine that dark secrets, which escaped the end of WW2, lay waiting under the hostile waters of the swamp, ready to surface again.
